This event is held at a local beekeepers farm. This is an opportunity to put on a bee veil and handle frames of live bees. See how to light a smoker, how to work with bees, how to use a smoker, how to evaluate a hive, and how to find a queen. This event has been popular with Willamette Valley Beekeeper students. This year Oregon Master Beekeeper Apprentice Program students are going to join in. This is the third session of training for the Oregon Master Beekeeper Apprentice Program for the Salem and surrounding area.
